Sunday Morning Children’s Activities

Children ages 3 and up are invited to take part in a Bible learning and worship experience each Sunday morning. Staff and volunteers use the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum, which takes us through the church year using the Revised Common Lectionary. These regular lessons are interspersed with other kinds of learning activities centered around the highlights of the church year such as Advent and Lent. Children begin in the worship service and after the Children’s Sermon (around 11:15 AM) move to nearby classrooms for their own age appropriate activities.

Weeknight Children’s Activities

Throughout the year, parents and children are invited to participate in crafts, games, and other activities to celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, Black History month, Easter, and other holidays.

Vacation Bible School

Every August, Rutgers Presbyterian Church invites children ages 4–11 to join us for a week (or two) of playtime, fun time, and Bible time. We most recently opened our hearts and minds to worship and play with the themes “Our Planet, Our Faith” and “To Mars and Beyond.” Information about dates, registration, and pricing and scholarships will be available in the first week of July.   All are welcome.
