Rev. George Williamson

George Williamson is a social activist and author. He graduated from Wake Forest College and was among the 21 students who conducted the Winston-Salem lunch counter sit-in in 1960. He received his Ph.D. in Christian Ethics from Vanderbilt University and served as a chaplain and religion professor at Vassar College for 11 years. Williamson also convened the founding meeting of the Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America (BPFNA) and served as its first president.
