A wonderful new program for preschoolers ages 3-5, Once Upon a Child uses themes to pique children’s curiosities and creativity, and engage them in multiple, interdisciplinary ways. Each day will include time for children to have free play, circle and snack times.
Our Tuesday class, Once Upon a Discovery, will focus on science through hands-on experimentation; get ready to investigate with sensory concoctions, exploratory equipment and tools (such as magnifying glasses and magnets), and construction materials.
Our Wednesday class, Once Upon a Fairy Tale, will use classic stories as jumping off points for a plethora of activities: dramatic play, dancing, creating castles, and so much more! Come be a princess, a knight, a dragon, or another character every Wednesday afternoon.
Our Thursday class, Once Upon a Journey, will make international travelers out of children as they “visit” a different country each week. Get out your passport as we explore food, art projects, games, stories and music from various places around the globe.
Children can enroll in one, two, or three days of Once Upon a Child. The program runs from 1-3pm, with an option to add on early bird drop off (lunchtime) at 12:30 for a small additional fee. There are two sessions Once Upon a Child: January 28 through March 27, and April 1 through June 26.
