Every day the children make me laugh! Their joy, playfulness and energy are infectious, and it’s very gratifying to see them learning and growing over the course of a semester or a year. It’s also nice to encourage and support parents as they navigate their way through everything from sleepless nights to preschool applications.— , Community Programs Instructor
On weekday mornings the church narthex is filled with strollers belonging to young children attending playgroups, art, Mandarin, movement and music classes with their parents or caregivers, as well as Ready, Set, Go!, our preschool alternative program. At mid-day, adults take Feldenkrais classes to achieve better breathing and balance. Afternoons the Church House is filled with pre-schoolers and grade school children coming to play soccer, learn about Chinese culture and language, take art classes, or learn to dance. In the early evenings, adults can take Tai Chi and fitness classes from knowledgeable, caring instructors who provide personalized attention. These classes, organized on a nonprofit basis and provided at reasonable prices, are available to all those who are interested. Our convenient Upper West Side location makes it easy to attend our classes. Contact Jennifer Moore at 212-822-8227, x212 or email jmoore@rutgerschurch.org for information and registration.
